About

Photographic collaborators Lyn Balzer & Tony Perkins have been working together for over 12 years and this symbiosis has produced remarkable fine art photography. Their fascination with the beauty and extremes of the Australian landscape stemmed from their upbringing near the idyllic rainforests and beaches of Byron Bay.

In Strangelands and Strangeness, they explore the erotic tension between the potency of nature and the implicit sexuality of the naked female. A soft, fleshy, vulnerable body is overtaken, scratched, even dirtied by nature, and yet never succumbs to this primal force. Its beauty, spirit and sensuality remain strong and defiant.
